There are 9 lessons in this course.

Lesson 1

Can we know God and experience life and fellowship with Him? What does God’s name have to do with knowing him? These lessons are to help us find out what type of God we have so that we can worship him more for who He is and what He has done. Elohim is the name studied in this lesson.

Lesson 2

This lesson turns to Genesis to learn two more names that God has revealed, El-Elyon and El-Shaddai. We learn how these names show that God is the Most High God and the Almighty God. Through this we learn that God is all powerful over Heaven and Earth, and He also works His purposes in our own lives.

Lesson 3

Do we use the names of God with reverence? This lesson continues looking at the significance of El-Shaddai and the promise of God to sustain us and bring us through whatever trials and suffering we might face. We will also look at the name Jehovah and how it is used to communicate God’s eternal nature and redemptive works.

Lesson 4

This lesson covers the name Jehovah-Jireh, the Lord our provider. Abraham found out first hand how God provides when God provided the lamb as a sacrifice instead of Isaac. God has provided for us today by offering Jesus Christ as our provision so that we could have fellowship with Him.

Lesson 5

Whose banner do we live under? This lesson looks at Jehovah-Nissi, the Lord my banner. Israel’s deliverance from Egypt to the Promised Land shows the reality of living under the Lord’s banner. This lesson explores how our victory today comes when we live under Christ’s banner.

Lesson 6

In the book of Judges, Gideon meets Jehovah-Shalom, the Lord is peace. In this lesson we learn that God is showering mercy on us, but our hearts and attitude affect how much God can help us. God is the Lord of peace to the obedient heart.

Lesson 7

In Psalm 23 we learn about Jehovah-Raah, the Lord is my shepherd. He is our personal caretaker and is sufficient for our every need. In the New Testament we learn that Jesus is the Good Shepherd who is with us and also takes care of us. In Him we have protection and all that we need.

Lesson 8

In Jeremiah we first see Jehovah-Tsidkenu, the Lord our Righteousness. God promises to work righteousness in His people. We find in the New Testament that Jesus is the Righteous One. The teacher then looks at how Jesus fulfills God’s promise by becoming our righteousness when we trust in Him.

Lesson 9

Do we murmur when life is hard? In this lesson we learn that Jehovah-Rapha is the Lord that heals. The teacher shows us that every test and trial is an open door for God to display His power in our life. We must not become people who murmur like the people of Israel in Exodus, but people who trust in Jesus for a lasting eternal healing.
