Lesson 1

This lesson show cases the life of an O.T. great man, Enoch. He had the testimony with God and man that "he walked with God." What does it mean to walk with God? How was he able to do this in a society that was grossly ungodly?

Lesson 2

Dr. John Phillips teaches this lesson from the life of Jacob. Jacob was a man with many character flaws that caused him and his family much grief. How did God go about transforming his life?

Lesson 3

Dr. Phillips introduces a very interesting and little known preacher in the O.T.(Balaam). He was the man that is known for a donkey having spoke with him. His life is a sad record of what happens to one of God's servants that has a high rigid standard for his listeners but a very forgiving and flexible one for himself.

Lesson 4

The Bible character in this study is one that is relatively obscure, General Abner. His life serves to teach us some vital lessons on how to treat God's leaders.

Lesson 5

This study is about another military leader that you may have heard little, General Joab. He was a man of impressive talent but of infamous character. We can learn from his life some needy truths concerning loyalty and motives.

Lesson 6

In this study you learn from one of God's most impressive O.T. preachers (Elijah). In one of his miracles you can see a great illustration of Calvary. He was a very ordinary man that God used in a extraordinary way.
