There are 5 lessons in this course.

Lesson 1

We will be learning from the life of Peter and the mistakes of his humanity. We will look at this man, who is very much like us, the turning points in his life and his love for Jesus. The first mistake we will learn from is Peter’s mistake about himself, when he saw himself he thought the Lord couldn’t do anything with him. What happens when you realize who you are?

Lesson 2

John 13. This lesson looks at the mistake of Peter about how to be cleansed from sinfulness. We can learn from Peter’s mistake the importance of the cleansing of Jesus in our own lives.

Lesson 3

Matthew 16. Who Jesus is makes what He does worth while. Peter’s mistake in this lesson that we can learn from was proclaiming who Jesus is by the Spirit of God, but thinking about Jesus' actions out of the selfish flesh. We make the same mistakes today. Who are we thinking and speaking for? Whose interest are you watching out for?

Lesson 4

Matthew 26. This lesson is about the way Jesus corrected Peter’s mistaken confidence. Three persons in this passage help us realize that the spirit is willing, but the human nature is weak. See how in our flesh there is no good thing, but Christ has prayed for us and He is our confidence when we depend on him.

Lesson 5

Luke 22. This lesson looks at how Jesus delivered Peter from his mistaken discouragement. Peter’s denial and sin in this passage did not keep Jesus from Peter. It also did not stop Peter being used for the Kingdom of God. Do we let our own failures and discouragement interfere with what God wants to do in and through us?
