I was brought up in a Christian home, so I always thought that I was a Christian. When I was 18, though, God showed me through the preaching of His Word that I was a sinner deserving Hell. On December 28, 1988, I came to see my sin for what it was and rested on the finished work of Jesus Christ.

During my growing-up years, I became interested in radio, creating radio shows with my younger brother on my tape recorder. I worked on-air at a radio station while completing my first year of college as a Broadcast Journalism major, but soon heard God’s call to preach and transferred to a Bible college. My family followed me around the country as I served as the Pastor of various churches. I only worked on the air at one other radio station, but I was blessed to do a weekly Sunday morning radio program at the most recent church I pastored.

My wife and I were providentially compelled to seek out a new avenue of ministry near the beginning of 2023. I retired from pastoring and prayerfully applied to be a Station Operations Manager at BBN, although I wondered at the time if I shouldn’t instead apply for the open announcer ministry opportunity. Even after taking the position for which I had applied, I still had doubts about whether I had pursued the right position. I prayed and left it in the LORD’s hands, trusting Him to have His perfect will done.

Soon after, I was summoned to a meeting and was invited to vacate my office upstairs in favor of one furnished with a microphone! “Delight thyself also in the LORD;” Psalm 37:4-5 says, “And he shall give thee the desires of thine heart. Commit thy way unto the LORD; Trust also in him; And he shall bring it to pass.”
