Elwood McQuaid began ministering in churches in Virginia in the early 1950's. He left the pastoral ministry in 1977 to join The Friends of Israel Gospel Ministry and served as executive director for many years. Writing was a major part of his work and his books have been translated into several languages. Dr. McQuaid also served as executive editor of Israel My Glory magazine. He first traveled to the Middle East in the early 1970's. This led to his research and extensive writing on Israel and on God's prophetic program for the nation and the Jewish people. Dr. McQuaid passed away in 2024 at the age of 93.
