Monroe Parker was a Baptist evangelist, college president, and mission board director. He became the first resident president of Pillsbury Baptist Bible College in 1957 and served as General Director of Baptist World Mission beginning in 1969. He conducted hundreds of evangelistic campaigns and preached in scores of high schools, colleges, Bible institutes and seminaries. Dr. Parker organized an association of Independent Baptist churches in Alabama and organized the Christian Dells Bible Camp near Decatur, Alabama. He passed away in 1994 at the age of 85.
