About
Since October, 1991, Rev. Lindsay Poteat has helped us prepare for Sunday School. Rev. Poteat presents a fifteen-minute Sunday School lesson. Rev. Poteat is the retired executive superintendent of the Peninsula Rescue Mission in Newport News, Virginia, and is a native of Suffolk, Virginia.
Rev. Poteat became a Christian in 1961 and began preaching that same year. He graduated from Piedmont Bible College in 1973 with a bachelor’s degree in theology. He received the Lehman Strauss expository preaching award that year. Rev. Poteat served as a pastor full time for nine years, and he directed ministry at the Peninsula Rescue Mission from 1983 until the end of December, 2013. During that tenure and since, he has served a number of churches in an interim capacity.
Rev. Poteat’s engaging style makes each week’s lesson accessible to anyone. Rev. Poteat invites you to follow along with him by making use of Sunday School lesson outlines that he provides. To receive the outlines or program copies, just call (757) 870-4782 or send an e-mail to: Lindsay@prm.info
