BBN is in need of a friendly, professional, and efficient person to work in our business office in Charlotte, NC, as a receptionist and administrative assistant. The ideal candidate for this role is someone who is highly organized and can manage multiple routine tasks while answering and directing phone calls from our listeners and ministry partners in an enthusiastic, team-oriented work environment. You will spend the majority of the workday behind a computer, and some experience with Google Workspace apps is helpful. Other tasks will include typing and organizing listener prayer requests to be shared on the air, retrieving listener requests via voicemail system, sorting and preparing listener correspondence and fulfillment, as well as some data entry and management.
BBN, has an opportunity for a Broadcast Staff Engineer who wishes to dedicate his talents and abilities to Christian Ministry. Relocation to Charlotte, NC, is required. This is a full-time paid position with benefits.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
- Work with existing Engineering and Management Staff in the construction and maintenance of AM & FM transmitter sites.
- Install equipment and interconnect wiring at studio and transmitter locations using engineering practices and applicable codes
- In-house construction and testing of wiring harnesses, switching controllers, etc.
- Document equipment and wiring
- Maintain, troubleshoot and repair broadcast transmitters, RF and audio equipment, interconnect wiring, satellite uplink and downlink equipment and broadcast studio equipment
- Periodic travel for radio station construction and major maintenance at existing stations
Required Knowledge:
- Understanding of basic electronics theory
- Working knowledge of radio equipment and transmission
- RF experience and troubleshooting skills
Required Education:
- Preferred – Bachelor in Electrical Engineering
- Minimum – Associate Degree in Electronics Technology
Preferred Experience:
- Construction and maintenance of AM & or FM broadcast transmitters, transmission systems, antennas, remote control equipment, etc.
- Installation and maintenance of radio studio equipment including mixers, processors, and switchers
- Maintenance of satellite uplink and downlink antennas, transmitters and receivers
- Bench work, including circuit board soldering, wiring and harness construction

The BBN Announcer is responsible for the overall flow of the programming, sharing encouraging devotional thoughts and comments, promoting programs and ministry features, sharing the gospel, producing special programming features, etc. The ideal candidate for the position should be creative, sense the Lord’s call into a full-time ministry, be teachable, and possess a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. The candidate should possess strong communication skills, and a desire to use those skills to share the gospel with BBN listeners. The candidate should also be willing to work in a structured environment, viewing a computer screen for the majority of the day.

BBN is looking for candidates to serve in the key ministry role of Station Operations Manager. The Station Operations Manager (or SOM) is responsible for the legal, technical, and ministry operations of our full-class radio stations in each local listening area in the U.S.
The ideal candidate for this role is someone who is technically inclined with at least basic computer skills and is able to work with a variety of computer software. The SOM is a problem-solver who will have to assess a variety of technical issues to determine the appropriate first steps in troubleshooting and repair of equipment. The SOM must be able to work well with local and network broadcast engineers, contractors, other Operations team members, and listeners.
The SOM will act as the Chief Operator of a group of radio stations responsible for regular logging of technical information, monitoring of the station, compliance with federal regulations and ministry policies, and project management and coordination. In addition, the SOM will interact with and minister to listeners on a regular basis, and occasionally represent the ministry in public (church) presentations and community events. Strong written and oral communication skills are necessary for this position.
The Station Operations Manager will work out of our main office in Charlotte, NC (relocation is required), and will occasionally travel to their assigned stations to inspect and minister.
