KYFP signed on the air May 15, 2000, serving the Palestine, TX area at 25,000 watts of power. In November of 2006, we were able to increase our power output to 100,000 watts, enabling us to reach further north into Tyler, TX, and other areas. KYFP operates as a satellite station from our main studio in Charlotte, NC.
